Position Summary

Level: Consultant

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

As a Performance Tester, you will be responsible to analyze nonfunctional requirements, design test scenarios/cases/scripts, RTM, perform test execution, document defects, triage defects, document results and attain sign-off of the design & results.

Work you’ll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

• Participating in business requirements discussions with client, onshore or offshore teams and attaining any clarifications to design test scenarios/cases/scripts
• Designing clean, efficient, and well-documented performance test scenarios/ scripts and maintaining industry & client standards, based on business requirement analysis
• Provisioning the test data required to perform test execution
• Performing performance test execution, logging defects, tracking and triaging defects to closure, and documenting test results
• Creating performance test results/reports
• Tracking and resolving dependencies that impact test activities

Qualifications

Must Have Skills / Project Experience:

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner, JMeter, or NeoLoad.
• Plan and coordinate performance testing activities, including workload modeling and scenario design.
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for performance improvements.
• Integrate and utilize monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, DataDog, Splunk) for root cause analysis.
• Mentor junior team members and review their test scripts and results.
• Prepare detailed test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  
  

Good to Have:

• 3–6 years of experience working with performance testing and engineering roles
  
  

Education:

• B.E./B. Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc. (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
