We are seeking an experienced Software Packaging Engineer to join our End User Computing (EUC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for application packaging, software deployment, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint management across enterprise environments. This role requires strong expertise in Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Workspace ONE Access, application packaging technologies, and automation scripting.
Key Responsibilities
Application Packaging
Package, test, and deploy applications using MSI, EXE, PowerShell, and InstallShield.
Perform application compatibility testing and troubleshooting.
Create silent installation and uninstallation packages.
Maintain packaging standards, documentation, and deployment procedures.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production releases.
Software Deployment & SCCM Administration
Deploy and manage enterprise software using Microsoft SCCM/MECM.
Create and maintain Applications, Packages, Collections, and Task Sequences.
Monitor software deployment compliance and remediate failures.
Support software lifecycle management, upgrades, and retirement activities.
Generate deployment and compliance reports.
Manage and support application deployments through Workspace ONE Access.
Vulnerability Remediation
Package and deploy application updates to address security vulnerabilities.
Support remediation of critical and high-risk vulnerabilities within defined SLAs.
Incident, Change & Problem Management
Provide Level 2 / Level 3 support for packaging and deployment-related incidents.
Perform root cause analysis for application deployment failures.
Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and operational standards.
Automation & Process Improvement
Develop PowerShell scripts to automate packaging and deployment activities.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Contribute to process standardization and documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the EUC organization.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Application Packaging and Software Deployment.
Strong experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM administration and software deployment.
Experience with Workspace ONE Access administration and application onboarding.
Expertise in InstallShield, MSI packaging, and silent installations.
Strong PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
Knowledge of software lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation.
Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL processes.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skill
