As a vital member of our Global Procurement team, you will oversee the requisition of goods and services to ensure Lonza AG maintains a seamless and efficient supply chain. You will play a key role in ensuring our purchasing activities align with global policies while driving value through price, quality, and delivery.

What you will do:

• Drive continuity of supply by overseeing the requisition of goods and services in alignment with current procurement policy guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with internal requisitioners, cost center owners, and the broader Procurement team to ensure operational excellence.
• Review and validate Purchase Requisitions and approval workflows for indirect products, services, and CAPEX across several global sites.
• Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including placing orders, obtaining confirmations, and expediting deliveries to ensure they arrive on time.
• Monitor and track supplier performance, proactively raising potential issues with strategic buyers and category managers.
• Champion digital transformation by promoting the use of e-catalogues (Ariba) and other automated buying channels.
• Provide first-level support for internal and external queries, including AP inquiries and Ariba helpdesk support.
  
  

What we are looking for:

• Significant experience in Procurement, specifically within Order Management.
• Advanced professional background with 4+ years of experience in a similar purchasing role.
• Proficiency in using Ariba or similar e-procurement platforms and e-catalogues.
• Strong communication skills with business-fluent English (written and verbal).
• A process-improvement mindset with the ability to support a culture of problem-solving and agility.
• Strong customer focus, understanding the needs of internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
• Educational background (Degree required) that demonstrates the analytical capabilities needed for complex requisition validation.
