Network Engineer Principal

About

The Network Engineer will be responsible for deploying, supporting, development and optimization of cloud-based network infrastructure. Candidate should possess a strong understanding of network principles, practical application of the principles, cloud services and security, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with other cross functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and implement our cloud network architectures that support Blackbaud’s hosted applications and services
• Use automation to implement updates and modifications
• Optimization of network performance through routing, switching and other traffic management strategies
• Monitoring of network performance, capacity and troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Implement security measures and network access controls in alignment with industry standard best practice and compliance requirements
• Regularly assess and remediate vulnerabilities and threats to the cloud network infrastructure using automation
• Provide technical support and guidance for cloud networking-related issues to internal teams
• Maintain detailed documentation of network diagrams, architecture and standard operating procedures
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• 12+ years proven experience in network engineering with a focus on cloud networking solutions (Azure & AWS).
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Knowledgeable in scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, etc)
• Familiarity with cloud security principles and practices
• Ability to work flexible hours as required by business priorities; Available on a 24x7x365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events.
