Mongo DB Architect

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned MongoDB Architect with 12+ years of experience in database architecture and at least 5+ years of deep, hands-on expertise in MongoDB. This role requires a visionary leader who can design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade NoSQL solutions, while guiding teams and influencing technology strategy across the organization.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Architecture
• Define and drive the enterprise-wide MongoDB architecture roadmap.
• Lead design of scalable, secure, and highly available database solutions for mission-critical applications.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Database Engineering & Optimization
• Architect advanced data models, indexing strategies, and sharding/replication frameworks.
• Conduct performance benchmarking, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Implement automation for deployment, monitoring, and scaling.
• Governance & Security
• Establish standards for data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Implement robust authentication, authorization, and encryption strategies.
• Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Leadership & Collaboration
• Mentor database engineers and developers, fostering best practices in NoSQL design.
• Collaborate with application architects, DevOps, and cloud teams to align database solutions with enterprise architecture.
• Act as the subject matter expert for MongoDB across the organization.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Drive adoption of MongoDB Atlas and cloud-native solutions.
• Explore integration with big data ecosystems (Kafka, Spark, Hadoop).
• Champion continuous improvement in database reliability, scalability, and performance.
  

📌 Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in database architecture, with at least 5+ years specializing in MongoDB.
• Expertise in MongoDB internals (replication, sharding, aggregation framework, indexing).
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL data modeling and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MongoDB Atlas.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  
  

🎓 Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• MongoDB Certified DBA/Developer (preferred).
