Overview

The Europe Sector is PepsiCos largest region outside of North America, comprising two key businesses: Beverages and Snacks, across 40+ markets. At the Europe Sector Business Intelligence CoE, our goal is to enable confident decision-making and become the undisputed source for holistic data performance by developing cutting-edge capabilities embedded in all critical business forums.

To achieve this, we continuously enhance our BI platform, PepsiCo Performance Drivers (PPD), leading IT development, managing reporting for the European C-Suite, and building stronger capabilities around Shoppers, Connected Stories, and Forward activities. PepsiCos business performance is tracked across 30 countries and categories, including Snacks, Beverages, and Grains.

The Europe Business Intelligence is structured around 2 teams, working in close collaboration with joint objectives :

Job Summary

The person will be responsible the advanced development on the ‘BI Enablers’ Team as part of the Global - Europe Business Intelligence Center of Excellence.

The person should have very strong Business Intelligence skills and will play a critical role in executing key transformations of Global PPD. Driving simplification, standardization and self service capabilities agenda along with enhancing the platform by driving key initiatives that will further drive the adoption of the platform.

The person should be able to translate the business requirements into accurate IT/platform development plans and will manage platform development accordingly.

Expect some strong data manipulation on excel, Tableau &/or PowerBI and heavy usage of Nielsen Retail Panel and Kantar/GFK/Ipsos Household Panel

Responsibilities

• Efficient Collaboration in PPD Transformation and Development:
• Design and Develop BI Products: Create reporting and business intelligence products, including visualizations and self-service tools, while managing project delivery and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Collaborate and Improve: Work with the Global BI GBS Team on platform development, present products to business users, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Utilize advanced visualization techniques to provide actionable insights and intuitive dashboards for a wide range of stakeholders, accelerating decision-making processes.
• Develop quick designs for data visualization and iteratively refine them to deliver useful data and insights for data-driven decisions.
• Act as a thought partner in designing analytics and reporting solutions, including advanced developments like AI/ML, NLP/NLG solutions, recommendation engines, chatbots, and virtual assistants.
• Design, configure, and unit test solutions, ensuring flexibility for proofs of concept (POCs) and scalability for production.
• Understand and modify basic SQL queries in Power BI and have working knowledge of Azure and Power BI.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and user guides for created products.
• Follow formal processes for incidents, change requests, deployments, and service requests.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, provide root cause analysis, and recommend permanent solutions.
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Create well-designed, testable, and efficient code. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions. Ensure processes are documented.
• Work in an agile environment with the scrum team, actively participating in daily scrums and sprint planning to meet the needs of business teams by delivering solutions.
• Maintain strong collaboration and relationships across the Global BI Development team, business teams, IT, data modeling, and architecture teams.
• Support the EU lead in innovation and standardization projects, and mentor junior peers.
  
  

Qualifications

• B. Tech/B.E./MCA from reputed institutes
• 8-10 years of experience with Analytics and developing BI solutions – Expertise in Tableau, PowerBI,SQL
• Experience in Change Management and Transformation journey of platforms
• Expert on “Point of Sale” (Nielsen, IRI, SPINs, One Click Retail etc.) databases/metrics a must
• Platform engineering experience in designing and implementing AI/ML, NLP/NLG solutions and products like recommendation engines, chatbots, virtual assistants etc.
• Experience in performance tuning (pushdown logic, calculated columns and measures, data loading strategies, filtering data, variables)
