We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager - Insights and Analytics

In This Role, You Will

• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) from various sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity. Design and optimize data pipelines, ensuring efficient data extraction, storage, and processing
• Extract and integrate data from external sources, such as public databases, social media platforms and third-party vendors to enhance advanced analytics capabilities
• Conduct in-depth analysis of complex transactional and demographic datasets to identify patterns for identifying risk and opportunities
• Strong understanding of the revenue drivers for each of the Banking products and associated risk parameters, in particularly with Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and RoRWA calculation methodology.
• Provide first-line functional support for CME, CSP, AI and other Frontline applications. Action user requests by following the agreed procedures, investigate and provide resolution for all requests received on (FLHD) Frontline helpdesk.
• Monitor and action the requests and workload in the different queue to ensure that Service Level Agreement (SLA) is honored.
• Report technical issues to IT Support and act as a bridge between users and IT by owning the request throughout the life cycle by ensuring the end user is kept updated on the progress.
• Work with and leverage solutions and approaches developed by the wider HSBC Analytics community
  
  

To Be Successful You Will

• Good to have knowledge of Banking domain use cases with specific applications to data science problems. 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking and financial sector
• University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative related discipline, Master’s degree is highly preferred
• Proficiency in using Python, SQL, or similar analytically oriented programming languages. Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as GCP, Azure and AWS and big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, etc
• Extensive technical skill in data mining, able to understand various data structures both structured and unstructured and common methods in data transformation
• High technical aptitude, problem solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, motivation, and passion for data discovery.
• Open-minded and self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong sense of responsibility. Knowledge and good experience with data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense will be a strong plus
• Knowledge and experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms will be a strong plus. Experience and good knowledge of working in the Banking and Financial Sector.
• Ability to perform a detailed and complete analysis of user issues and problem-solving skills.Contribute to innovation initiatives and overall data science strategy under the CIB data science head
• Keeping up to date on the latest advanced analytics and big data technologies. Engage with academia on shared research topics related to new trends in advanced analytics. Good to have exposure to state of the art Gen AI tools
