Overview

The role focuses on providing technical support related to drafting, design, and documentation processes for engineering projects. This role assists engineers, designers, and project teams by creating and maintaining technical drawings, models, and documents that are essential for the execution of engineering designs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update installation and as-built drawing versions.
• Drafting & Design Repository: Manage and maintain database of as-built site drawings database to enable knowledge sharing across Sectors/BUs and unlock continuous design improvements
• Merging drafting works from multiple sources to debottleneck drafting requirements by centralizing time-intensive Integration of drawings i.e integration of multiple drawings from multiple OEMs, Civil & Utilities.
• Collect H2/H3 Strategic plans for the site with inputs across business, category and cross functions
• Adjust site masterplan with changes in strategic priorities and technologies
• Produce and modify engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics based on specifications from engineers or designers.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers or changes in project specifications, ensuring that the drawings are accurate and current.
• Work closely with engineers, architects, and other technical teams to understand the project’s requirements and provide drafting support accordingly.
• Assist in interpreting and clarifying design specifications for construction or manufacturing, ensuring that the drafts are aligned with the projects engineering objectives.
• Ensure that all drafts are updated and modified in line with feedback from stakeholders, maintaining consistency throughout the design process.
  
  

• Min 7 years experience in engineering design and drafting
• College degree in either Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Proficient in using AutoCAD for creating 2D and 3D drawings, modifying existing drawings, and ensuring accuracy and clarity in all designs.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of industry-specific standards such as ASME, ISO, DIN, to ensure drawings meet accepted conventions.
• Ability to read and understand complex engineering blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications.
• Drawing Conventions: Familiarity with drawing conventions like line weights, hatching patterns, symbols, and annotations to communicate design intent clearly.
