The Amazon Flex Analytics team is building the global data platform that powers Amazon Flex worldwide. We’re working hard, having fun, and making history!

The Flex Analytics team’s mission is to empower the Worldwide Flex organization with accurate, timely data and actionable insights that enables data-driven decision making at any level. Our goal to achieve this mission is to mature our service offerings to match the needs of our various customers. For our information consumers on the business and product teams we aim to provide insightful analyses that answer the ‘So what do we do about it?’ questions and not just the ‘What happened?’ questions. We provide access to core metrics and datasets via self-service tools that allow our customers to perform ad-hoc or exploratory analyses without the need for a BI developer. For our power users, which includes our science and tech teams, we serve as trusted partners and provide data engineering expertise and access to data at scale to support their business needs.

We are making a fundamental shift from a team that answers questions to an AI-native decision intelligence platform that proactively detects problems, diagnoses root causes, and recommends actions — with or without human prompt. And to achieve this, we are looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a team responsible for defining, building and executing our end-to-end BI solutions. In this strategic, high-visibility role you will own the execution of cross-org projects and help measure the impact of our various offerings within the Flex program. You will:

• work with business leaders and program managers within and outside the org to define the scope, plan, execute and rollout BI solutions
• lead a team of Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Engineers to deliver solutions
• build stakeholder trust through concise, accurate and timely communications and updates
• use broad context from multiple businesses to set and drive 3-year vision and 1-year operating plans

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of business intelligence and analytics experience
• 5+ years of delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management experience
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with ETL
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
• Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of working with very large data warehousing environment experience
• 10+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience
