About The Job

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.

Our team has the critical mission of protecting and respecting Google's users, ensuring online safety in both core and emerging areas. We are at the center of the company-wide charge to raise the bar on content, including coherent policies and scaled and effective enforcement. We have recently expanded beyond traditional product protections focusing on additional types of abuse: brand safety, controversial content, violent extremism, and political interference. We've advanced user protections, and demonstrated expertise across Google’s growing array of products and services.

In this role, you’ll lead a team, be a thought leader, an excellent operator and will collaborate cross-functionally. You will bring passion for abuse fighting, focus on putting the user first and lead a high performing team to deliver excellent business results. You will partner with key stakeholders to drive operational performance and lower abuse rates.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the roadmap for global ads defense. Oversee the deployment of analytical frameworks and fraud-detection methodologies to proactively identify and mitigate content that violates Google Ads policies, staying one step ahead of evolving adversarial tactics.
  • Lead strategic cross-functional initiatives by partnering with executive stakeholders across product, engineering, legal, Public Relation (PR), and public policy to influence long-term technical roadmaps, roll out policy updates, and ensure safer-by-design product features.
  • Forge and scale a team of subject matter experts. Advocate a culture of continuous learning and psychological safety, ensuring your team remains resilient and high-performing while navigating the rapid pace and sensitive nature of global ads content and policies.
