Job Description

A Logistics Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and services within an organization. This role involves coordinating and managing the logistics process by providing administrative support, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in inventory management. The Logistics Assistant will work under the supervision of a Logistics Manager and collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain operations. This position requires an individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Assistant will actively participate in tracking shipments, communicating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of goods, which is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage logistics operations to ensure efficient supply chain processes.
  • Assist the Logistics Manager in planning and executing logistics strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and logistical data for reporting purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors to arrange timely shipments.
  • Monitor and track shipments, ensuring they meet the scheduled delivery timelines.
  • Provide administrative support by preparing logistics documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve overall logistics efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation and safety regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Support inventory audits and perform regular stock checks as required.
  • Assist in warehouse organization and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics qualifications are a plus.
  • Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
