As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals.

  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Architect and build web applications using React, Java, and AWS services

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on Java concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience of developing Microservices using Java and Spring Boot
  • Hands-on experience with event driven app architecture
  • Expertise in building applications on AWS cloud
  • Hands-on experience in application design, development and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Willingness to work on teams that develop highly scalable, secure, and resilient applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, JPA, Hibernate, Swagger
  • Excellent understanding of security standards, such as OAuth, TLS, JWT, Kerberos etc.
  • Experience with log/metric collection and monitoring technologies, such as ELK stack, Dynatrace, Grafana
  • Demonstrate independent problem solving skills and ability to develop solutions to complex analytical/data-driven problems
  • Involve in production support and development activities for assigned applications and projects
