Lead Principal Analyst Associate Director Fundamental Equities Privates

We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Financial Research group. Depending on the candidate’s location preference, the position is open for either of our Hyderabad or, Bengaluru offices in India. The role is a part of our Fundamental Equities (Privates) team, which collaborates closely with front office groups providing high-quality, in-depth research and analysis, supporting investment strategies and decision-making processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

In this role, you will collaborate with front office teams to evaluate investment opportunities in private firms worldwide, which are at early or late stages of funding. You will conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis, evaluating unit economics, customer cohorts, and total addressable market, building models using available data on target investments, performing data room due diligence, and preparing investment write-ups and presentations. You will also monitor existing portfolio investments regularly and engage with company management and industry experts to develop and refine your investment views.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate should hold-

Basic qualifications:

• A degree in finance or an equivalent qualification, with 8 or more years of equity research experience across buy-side or sell-side roles
• Demonstrated financial modeling and valuation skills
• Sharp analytical skills and keen attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior experience covering software, technology, fintech, consumer tech, or manufacturing tech sectors
• A private equity or venture capital background
