Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements and collaborate with development and architecture teams to define and implement effective test strategies
• Lead major project testing efforts and support the test management team in aligning QA efforts with strategic business goals
• Design and implement best practices for test planning, execution, and automation, including both manual and automated approaches
• Develop and maintain automated tests for UI, API services (using Groovy, ReadyAPI, etc.), and database validations
• Integrate and manage automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
• Design and recommend improvements to test automation frameworks, tools, and technologies that align with development trends
• Develop manual test cases for non-automatable features and maintain regression test suites
• Execute, analyze, and report on the results of both manual and automated tests
• Log, track, and validate defects while assisting developers in debugging production issues
• Manage and maintain consistent and reliable test environments
• Promote and implement standardized testing practices across the company while mentoring junior QA team members
• Drive continuous improvement through strategic QA initiatives and by staying current with industry testing trends
• Collaborate with globally distributed teams to ensure consistent quality and shared best practices
• Identify and solve complex testing challenges at the organizational level
• Perform other duties as needed to support team and quality goals
  
  

Skills, Experience And Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree (Computer Science or Engineering related) from a four-year college or university
• 6+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including E2E, regression, UI, API, and service testing
• Hands-on experience with test automation using Groovy (ReadyAPI, SOAPUI), RestAssured, Postman, and Parasoft tools
• Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins; experience managing automation pipelines
• Skilled in test planning, execution, and defect tracking using Rally, JIRA, HP ALM, and ServiceNow
• Solid SQL skills for backend testing using Oracle SQL Developer
• Familiar with billing systems like CSG, ACP, and Ascendon
• Experienced in Agile and Waterfall models; active participant in Agile ceremonies
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
• Proven ability to troubleshoot issues, work independently or in teams, and drive quality improvements
