Summary
QA Automation Engineer to support Carrier’s largest and most strategic customers. In this role, you will design and implement automation solutions while also performing hands-on testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and resilience of our cloud products and platforms. You will work across front-end, API, and cloud services—combining automated and manual testing approaches—to validate scalable, production-grade systems and user interfaces.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain a custom QA automation stack for new and existing projects.
Perform hands-on manual testing, including exploratory, regression, and release validation testing, where automation is not yet available or appropriate.
Define and evangelize standards and best practices for manual, integration, UI, and performance testing.
Collaborate with developers during feature design to ensure testability, acceptance criteria clarity, and early defect discovery.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and cloud execution environments.
Key Sills
4+ years’ hands on experience in AWS cloud native environment with EC2, Automated Scaling Groups, Lambda, AWS Batch, CloudWatch, S3, RDS and CloudFormation.
3+ years of experience designing and building automation frameworks using Python or JavaScript, including CI/CD integration and cloud-hosted execution.
3+ experience with UI and integration test frameworks like Playwright or Slenenium.
Proven experience with manual testing techniques, including exploratory testing, test case design, regression testing, and defect triage using agile tools like Jira and Xray.
2+ experience with performance and load testing tools like Locust.
1+ year of hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development or testing tools (e.g., Claude, OpenAI, Copilot).
