Job Description

The isolved Manager, Product Engineering, will oversee the activity of software engineering resources within the Development organization. This includes staffing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of coding standards and practices for isolved products throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position will directly supervise 1 to 3 scrum teams of software engineers.

Core Job Duties

• Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Hires and trains software engineering staff.
• Conducts weekly or bi-weekly one-on-ones with reports.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Duties/Responsibilities:
• Communicates coding standards and parameters to QA, product development, and product management teams.
• Provide mentorship and practical development advice to team members.
• Ensure best practices, including writing unit tests and performing code reviews.
• Analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems and recommends and facilitates solutions.
• Participates in code development, as necessary.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Required Skills/Abilities:
• 5+ years of experience in the software development field
• 1+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience managing development teams and processes using Agile methodology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Azure DevOps (or other software project management tools), Visual Studio, and other related development tools.
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft development technologies, including .NET and Azure services.
• Typically requires a Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of direct experience, with 1+ years of management experience.
• Experience delivering Human Capital Management software
• Experience delivering SaaS-based solutions
• Computer Related or Business degree preferred
