GCP Cloud Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Google Cloud Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Kubernetes to support and manage cloud infrastructure for a banking environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud administration, Kubernetes platform management, security, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support. Prior experience working in the Banking / Financial Services domain is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
  
• Manage and support Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters, including cluster configuration, upgrades, scaling, networking, and troubleshooting.
  
• Perform day-to-day Kubernetes administration, including deployments, namespaces, services, ingress, RBAC, secrets, ConfigMaps, and resource management.
  
• Monitor and troubleshoot GCP and GKE environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  
• Manage GCP networking components including VPC, subnets, firewall rules, load balancers, DNS, and connectivity.
  
• Implement and maintain cloud security, IAM policies, service accounts, roles, and access controls in line with banking security standards.
  
• Support containerized applications and troubleshoot infrastructure, Kubernetes, and deployment-related issues.
  
• Work with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
  
• Perform incident management, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions for production issues.
  
• Support GCP cost optimization, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and architecture/infrastructure diagrams.
  
• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with organizational security, governance, audit, and regulatory requirements applicable to the banking industry.
  

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration.
  
• Strong experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
  
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting experience.
  
• Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
  
• Good understanding of GCP networking, IAM, security, monitoring, and logging.
  
• Experience managing production cloud infrastructure.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills.
  
• Mandatory: Banking / Financial Services domain experience..
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with Apigee / Apigee X administration and management.
  
• Experience with API management and API gateway platforms.
  
• Knowledge of Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  
• Experience with Google Cloud Build / CI-CD tools.
  
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, and Cloud Logging.
  
• Familiarity with banking security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  
• Relevant GCP / Kubernetes certifications.
