Fund Services Supervisor Loan Operations

Your Role: 

• Accurate processing of daily loan transactions and credit events including, but not limited to, trade settlement, principal pay downs, drawdowns, contract rollovers, rate setting, PIK capitalization
• Ensuring completeness and accuracy of position, accrued interest and cash data in loans system & underlying accounting platform
• Prepare invoicing and remittance notices to applicable parties
• Manage the onboarding, amendment of transactions, inclusive of participant transfers as needed, ensuring a 1 BD turnaround providing all additional support prescribed in the underlying administration agreement
• Monitor bank accounts and reconcile against expected cash inflows and outflows
• Actively train and manage employees to ensure we maintain a best-in-class support team
• Work to continuously ensure operational controls are of the highest standard 

About You:

• You will carry a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Loan Administration and/or Loan Agency experience

• You have experience of a range of debt product types including, but not limited to, syndicated, bilateral, direct lending originations, commercial real estate loans, letters of credit 

• You are experienced in maintaining a control environment and adhering to standard operation procedures

Responsibilities

Your Role:

• Oversee and support a team of analysts, to ensure Service Level Agreements are met in an effective and efficient fashion.
• Escalate client or staffing issues to your Manager in a timely manner.
• Work with your Manager on KRIs and KPIs and collaborate on mitigating plans around risk and resource constraints.
• Liaise with service providers, vendors, agents, counterparties and clients to ensure the timely resolution of issues and exceptions.
• Review and assess the materiality of portfolio risk with respect to unsupported cash and position differences, as part of the sign off process.
• Contribute towards projects and initiatives that aim to drive the business forward, as it relates to Loan Administration and processing.
• Engage in the migration of tasks from other locations into your team, to ensure of a seamless transition, along with the conversion or launches of any new clients, as it relates to Loan holdings.
• Actively engage in staff development conversations with the analyst team on a regular basis, to ensure members of the team understand their goals and continuously working towards them.
• Contribute to the hiring process and seek the right candidates for the team.

Qualifications

About You:

• Bachelor or Master level degree.
• 4+ years in Financial Services with experience in leading people
• Product knowledge, Domestic, Global and OTC security markets, Fixed Income and derivative product knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience mentoring and coaching staff.
• Knowledge of Hedge or Mutual Funds.
• Professional accounting designation is an asset.
