Drupal Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of enterprise Drupal solutions on Acquia Cloud. In addition to Acquia knowledge, we need solid experience in SiteStudio and SearchStax as these are the main functionalities in the project we will be working on.
• Design, build, and maintain Drupal content types, fields, views, taxonomies, and custom modules
• Develop and enhance Drupal themes and front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Twig
• Implement responsive and accessible user interfaces aligned with UX designs
• Configure and manage Acquia Cloud environments (Dev / Stage / Prod), deployments, and releases
• Support content editors and business users through effective site-building and authoring features
• Ensure solutions adhere to performance, scalability, security, SEO, and accessibility (WCAG) best practices
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, QA, backend teams, and content editors
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior Drupal developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Drupal core, themes, modules, and infrastructure
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CMS governance processes
  
  

• 5+ years of professional experience in CMS or web development
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Drupal on production projects
• Strong experience working with Acquia Cloud Platform
• Strong expertise in Drupal site building and custom module development
• Proficiency in PHP, Drupal APIs, and Twig templating
• Strong front-end development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience building responsive UI components and ensuring cross-browser compatibility
• Working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, including React (for UI components or integrations)
• Solid understanding of Drupal theming and front-end performance optimization
• Experience integrating Drupal with third-party services and APIs
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  
  

• Experience with Acquia Site Studio (formerly Cohesion)
• Experience with Acquia Cloud Site Factory (ACSF)
• Familiarity with Acquia BLT, Cloud IDE, or Pipelines
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Knowledge of modern front-end build tools (npm, Webpack, Gulp)
• Experience delivering projects in enterprise or regulated environments
• Acquia or Drupal certifications
