Dot Net Developer

This position requires a developer experienced in developing and implementing secure web applications and web services preferably for Customer Information Systems in the utility industry. The position requires a good understanding of client/server, multi-tiered, and service-oriented architectures, an understanding of the underlying business processes of a CIS, and extensive experience building Microsoft C# and ASP.NET-based applications that access MySQL, MSSQL or similar databases

Responsibilities

• Code, test and maintain applications, web services and components in Microsoft C# and ASP.NET, and .NET 5+ and Blazor.
• Write scalable, maintainable code using Microsoft naming conventions and best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, architecture and design patterns
• Clarify business requirements by working with business analysts and end users; create high-level and detailed design specifications to address user goals; formulate plans – outlining steps required to develop programs for design deliverables
• Participate in peer-reviewed requirements and design.
• Estimate assigned work effort and be accountable for deliverables and completion dates.
• Analyze, review and modify programs to increase operating efficiency.
• Follow and improve established software delivery lifecycles, programming standards and frameworks.
• Development includes new product investment initiatives and client-requested custom modifications and enhancements
• Ability to adapt to an environment that demands customer satisfaction.
• Provide 24x7 (Tier 3) production and UAT/QA application support.
• Requires occasional overtime and travel.
  
  

• Experience in developing PWAs using Blazor and .NET 5+.
• 5 years of experience in and proven track record building solutions based on Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Framework.
• 5 years of experience with Web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, etc.)
• 5 years of extensive development with MySQL, MSSQL or similar databases.
• Strong understanding of and experience designing with client/server and multi-tier architectures
• Strong understanding and experience with advanced development concepts such as performance tuning in SQL and multi-tier web environments
• Experience developing UI and graphical components for various client layers.
• Full life cycle experience on enterprise or commercial software projects
• Experience leveraging open-source components and technologies.
• Broad web technology experience including building web applications and integrations using REST services APIs. Having exposure to building services in Microservices architecture will be a huge plus
• Understanding of application business processes and how they can be improved through the application of technology.
• Experience with a source control management solution (e.g. GIT, Azure DevOps etc.)
• Experience deploying web applications on Microsoft Internet Information Server and related technologies.
