Job Overview

Build the Foundation for Trusted, Business‑Ready Data

Are you passionate about turning data into a trusted enterprise asset? Do you believe Data Governance is not about control—but about enabling business value at scale?

We’re building a strong Data Governance capability and are looking for a Data Governance Expert to join our team and help shape how data is defined, governed, and trusted across the organization.

This role sits at the intersection of business, data, and technology—working closely with domain teams, data engineers, analytics teams, and leadership to drive clarity, consistency, and confidence in data.

As the Digital Data Governance Expert at Sanofi's Consumer Healthcare Business Unit, you will be instrumental in steering our organization's strategic direction in data governance. With 10-12 years of relevant industry experience, including at least the last 5 years focused specifically on data governance and data quality, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this critical role. Your responsibilities will centre around leveraging Informatica data governance tools such as Data Quality, Data Catalogs, Marketplace and Data Lineage as well as other leading technologies of Informatica, Data bricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.

This position requires an individual with strong data governance skills and capable of developing and enforcing a comprehensive data governance framework, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and enhancing data usability, integrity, and security across Opella. Collaborating closely with IT, legal, Data Privacy and other business units, you will optimize our data management & governance practices to support Opella’s analytics and decision-making processes, ensuring our data assets are managed as a strategic business resource.

Responsibilities

As part of our Data Governance team, you will support:

• Data Governance (CDGC) Enablement
• Configure and manage Informatica CDGC for business glossary, data catalog, and lineage.
• Define and onboard data assets, datasets, and data products into the governance ecosystem.
• Implement metadata ingestion, classification, and curation workflows.
• Collaborate with Business Data Stewards to ensure glossary and metadata quality.
• Establish end-to-end lineage (technical + business) across systems.
• Integration Development (CAI)
• Design and develop integrations using Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI).
• Build and manage APIs, event-driven integrations, and workflows.
• Develop connectors between source systems, CDGC, and downstream platforms.
• Ensure data synchronization and metadata flow across governance tools and data platforms.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure performance optimization.
• Dashboard & UX Development (React JS)
• Design and develop interactive dashboards using React JS
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Integrate dashboards with backend APIs and governance platforms.
• Databricks & Data Platform Collaboration
• Work with data engineering teams leveraging Databricks for Data pipelines, Metadata extraction, Dataset onboarding into CDGC
• Support governance integration with Lakehouse architecture.
• Enable lineage and traceability from Databricks to reporting layers (e.g., Power BI).
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

Core (Must-Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Informatica CDGC/CDQ/IDQ
• Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
• Data quality rule implementation
• Experience in API Integration, integration workflows, and orchestration
• Solid understanding of:
• Data governance concepts (Glossary, Lineage, DQ, Stewardship)
• Metadata management
  

Technical Stack

• Front-end: React JS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
• Integration: REST APIs, JSON, event-based architectures
• Data Platforms: Exposure to Informatica & Databricks (preferred)
• Visualization: Power BI (nice-to-have)
  
  

Must‑Have Experience

• 10–12+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, or Data Quality
• Strong understanding of business data (Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, Risk, or similar domains preferred)
• Hands‑on experience with Data Governance tools (e.g., Informatica, Collibra, , Alation, Databricks, snowflake, PBI etc.)
• Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and translate business needs into governance outcomes
• Excellent communication skills
