The Impact You Will Have In This Role
The Senior Associate Appian Developer will have a primary focus on re-platforming applications from legacy technology stack as MS Access, VB scripts, etc. to Appian as the chosen Low-code platform. The role requires strong coding skills in Appian, problem-solving abilities, and experience working in Agile environments.
What You Will Do
Create scalable and resilient Appian applications using different Appian objects as process models, data fabric, record actions, SAIL interfaces, Connected systems, Authorization and authentication, Timer events and reporting.
Collaborate with Lead Architect to design the Appian objects needed to effectively deliver the application.
Contribute to technical documentation – Design documents, ERD, and architectural discussions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum settings.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and performance concerns.
Will be involved in Data migration from Legacy technology stacks to Appian
Involved in discussions with Product team on implementation of new features / any support tickets, etc.
Talents Needed For Success
5-6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing enterprise applications using Appian BPM (19.X,20.X+).
The ideal candidate should be Appian L2 certified.
Proficient in architecting scalable, high-performance Appian solutions that meets business objectives.
Skilled in creating and managing Appian objects such as SAIL interfaces, process models, records, rules, and decision logic, with strong debugging capabilities.
Involved in multiple areas of Appian development including workflows, SAIL interfaces, process models, records, sites, reports, rules, and AI Skills.
Experience in building basic task and process reports to support business and operational monitoring.
Strong experience in integrating Appian with external systems using Web APIs, RESTful services, Appian Connected Systems, and custom plug-ins.
Good knowledge of RDBMS (SQL/Oracle), creation of data models and ERD diagrams
Good knowledge in Agile development methodology including Scrum and Kanban
Has participated in code review and peer review sessions and able to provide design and code specific feedback.
Has experience in mentoring associates on Appian
