DEPUTY MANAGER – Enterprise Portfolio Management
Deloitte’s Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) plays a crucial role in helping the firm achieve its Multi-Disciplinary Model (MDM) objectives. It is a multi-function, integrated team that brings deep insights into tackling some of the firm’s most complex challenges. To support this effort, we are looking for a high performing Deputy Manager, who will lead both people and work—coaching a strong team while driving priority workstreams from research and analysis through executive-ready recommendations. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, engagement teams, and stakeholders across the EPM team to help optimize our footprint and support EPM priorities.
Work you’ll do
- Partner with EPM Managing Directors, Senior Managers and other team members to provide due diligence support on different scenarios (e.g., PEI, Alliance, Co-ownership etc); scope and assess requests with stakeholders and seek consultation as needed.
- Lead and supervise a minimum team of 4-6 professionals, train the team on both firm and internal processes and perform the final layer of the USI review for the assigned projects (A/R/C workstream)
- Navigate firm systems and processes through an EPM lens to identify MDM issues and synthesize due diligence findings; participate in case coaching calls, deliver high-quality summaries for US senior leader review and finalize V360 records for project close-out
- Support the USI team lead with ARC workflow, prioritization, resourcing, and issue escalation; also, provide day-to-day support for EPM Analysts/Senior Analysts (coaching, performance feedback, and development guidance) to deliver high quality outputs
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of EPM concepts to help design USI procedures, lead process improvement initiatives, share best practices and new tools to improve team effectiveness.
- Build strong V360 knowledge and recommend tool enhancements to improve process flow and usability.
- Recruit and onboard new hires; conduct performance evaluations and provide timely, constructive feedback.
Key skills and professional experience:
- Postgraduate/MBA Finance or related field/ Chartered Financial Analyst
- 9+ years of work experience, including at least six years in market research/analysis/ handling SEC independence issues and leading teams; at least 3-5 five years of experience in appraising team members, coaching and mentoring experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial transactions such as joint ventures, M&A, spinoffs, and other related concepts, with experience of working in professional services organizations (a plus)
- Strong secondary research skills with expertise in databases like Factiva, OneSource, Hoovers, Thomson, understanding of SEC filings, etc.
- Good exposure to data visualization skills and the ability to present data analysis in intuitive graphical and tabular formats. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau will be an advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong stakeholder and project management skills with ability to liaison with Deloitte PPMD and other members

Ultimately, EPM enhances the ability to operate more effectively as one integrated firm.
Qualifications
Required:
- MBA/CA/CFA or an equivalent master’s degree
Location: Hyderabad
Work Timing: Staggered shift or 2-11 PM IST (with some level of flexibility on three days every week)
