Deputy Manager-Control And Reporting

Overview

The role is responsible for general accounting and internal control support, including HFM Reporting, preparation and posting of journal entries, maintenance of balance sheet accounts, completion of the month end closing transactions/procedures and ensuring that the general ledger account balances and trial balances are appropriately reconciled.

He/She is responsible for completeness, accuracy and timeliness of operations in the general ledger, fixed asset, lease accounting, bank reconciliations and reports required for SEZ compliances.

Moreover, he/she takes part in accounts’ analysis and supports senior colleagues in carrying out responsibilities of the accounting department, contacts stakeholders in order to resolve accounting queries and cooperates with auditors.

He/she follows Desktop Procedures and adequate policies and guidelines in place and seeks for improvements.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the overall R2R process by demonstrating flexibility in providing cover for team members and training of new team members.

• Responsibility for preparation and review of journal entries for GBS
• Responsible for Fixed Assets, ASC842 Lease accounting and Prepaid Expenses review and accounting
• Ensuring timely closure of the Banks Reconciliations and performing revalutions
• Preparation and review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, arranging review with the Finance Controller and ensuring timely closure of the actions items
• Responsible for HFM Financials reporting & Supporting Tax Analyst in FAS109 Reporting
• Ensuring SOX and other controls effectiveness in relation to above responsibilities
• Ensuring payroll related Statutory dues are paid timely, works as SME for payroll JVs & accruals and support payroll team to ensure liability vs payment reconciliations are performed and tracked
• Works with P2P and O2C team to ensure timely closure of the Month End Close deliverables
• Performing the periodic close of general ledger which includes maintaining the close schedule, scheduling of subsystem reports
• Works with SEZ Compliance Partner and Legal team to ensure all the compliances are tracked and reported monthly
• Supports the SEZ Compliance Partner in Returns related data preparation and review including coordination with Internal team like P2P, O2C, HR & Facilities etc.
• Ensuring data integrity and preparing financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
• Performing additional tasks on request of senior colleagues
• Identification and presentation of solutions for process improvements
• Cooperating with other team members to ensure that the GBS HUB Finance team is meeting or exceeding performance levels
• Resolving conflicts and assisting others as required
• Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, policies and procedures
• People Responsibilities
• Act as the Accounting & Reporting SME and support the colleagues on related issues.
• Attend key governance meetings and provide inputs as required.
• Act as a point for process escalations.
• Support the Global Process Owner, wherever relevant, in steering the Record to Report strategy and delivering targets.
