Deputy Director S4 Data Conversion

Overview

This role supports the implementation and deployment of Master Data Conversions for the PepsiCo Global S4 migration project (PGT). Objectives of the role is to ensure that data conversions to SAP works seamlessly , efficiently and quality data is migrated to PGT environment. In addition this person will coach and provide direction to the Data conversion team members. This role will adopt and adhere to "Selective Data transition" Methodology principles for the PepsiCo Global Template deployment projects across the globe and will ensure all the learnings are seamlessly and timely implemented to drive the optimization and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business and functional teams to define data migration scope, strategy and planning.
• Lead data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities across legacy and SAP systems.
• Leverage tools such as SAP Data Services (BODS), SAP Migration Cockpit, LSMW, or SNP Transformation Cockpit to design and execute migration workflows.
• Map legacy data to SAP target structures, ensuring alignment with business rules and SAP best practices.
• Create and manage data load templates, mapping documents, validation rules, and reconciliation reports.
• Conduct data profiling and cleansing in collaboration with data owners and business SMEs.
• Coordinate mock loads, dry runs, and cutover activities including data load verification and sign-offs.
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants to understand module-specific data nuances.
• Document technical specifications, configuration, and process flows related to data migration.
• Track daily progress of the build and cutover activities
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in SAP data migration projects with greenfield/ blue field implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, table relationships, and integration points.
• Hands-on experience in SAP migration tools: SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, BODS, LSMW, or SNP tools(good to have).
• Good exposure to functional processes and master/transactional data elements across modules.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and data transformation logic.
• S/4HANA data migration implementation experience is a must.
• Ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders and vendor partners effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
• Ability to work flexible hours based on varying business requirements
• Ability to solve complex issues within the project work group
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in timelines, plans and navigate ambiguous situations.
