The Role-DM Data Scientist

Responsibilities-

Data Migration (DM) executes all related activities to implement payroll services for several countries and plays an important role in our projects. All steps are defined in the Global Data Migration Strategy, which is adjusted to client and project requirements, together with the client, Strada’s Program and Project Management, Enterprise Architects and Engineers and the Payroll Lead. The Data Scientist takes part in one of Strada’s new offerings, which is called ‘Data Migration as a Service’. This service will be one of the typical ETL services, which we will provide to our clients, comprising Data Quality Assessment, Data Extraction, Transformation, and Validation. Data Scientists will be responsible to build and develop this service based on the requirements detected during the preparation phase of our projects, outlined, and instructed by the DM Lead, aligned with their Data Scientist Technical Manager; they will build workflows with a tool called KNIME, which will then be executed by a DM Support member or the DM Lead; using this process will ensure data quality during our implementation projects.

Steps and processes are defined in the data mapping document, based on the Data Dictionary in our Help Center, and the data requirements outlined by the local Payroll experts. Based on experience, Data Scientists will also support data mapping with the client after 3-6 months.

The DM team consists of different roles and levels; a central Senior DM Lead is accountable for big programs, global strategy and planning, the DM Lead is responsible for the execution, DM Support assists with the volumes. In all projects where our clients require additional service, the Data Scientist will be supporting the other roles within the DM team, and ensure we are meeting KPIs, and the quality threshold agreed in the project.

DM Data Scientist – Responsibilities

  • Support local Data Migration Workshops with the client if necessary.
  • Build, test, and execute data quality assessment report
  • Build, test, and execute data extraction and transformation workflows on behalf of the client.
  • Assist DM Lead and DM Support on data mapping, data transformation, and errors encountered during this process; identify gaps and issues during build, test, and execution, be proactive to avoid issues.
  • Develop and perform DM workflows following the instructions of the DM Lead; follow and development standards in Strada, which can be used for test as well as for Go-Live phases.
  • Resolve medium complexity problems related to the functional environment of the applications.
  • Respect timelines, be proactive, update deliverable documents and DM trackers where required; liaise with DM Lead to ensure data issues are resolved for next execution, tracked and followed-up.
  • Support the Data Scientist Technical Manager building a new offering

DM Data Scientist – Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering preferably in computer science from a reputed college.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in ETL or Data Migration using KNIME, Informatica, Alteryx, SAP BODS or any other data transformation tool.
  • Has knowledge of Human Resources, TIME, and Payroll concepts, and of the related Data Migration processes.
  • Has basic knowledge of HRIS technology, such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle, SAP Human Resources, Peoplesoft, and Payroll (SAP PY, PT, FIORI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, MS Access, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with some of the following technologies: Web Methods, SQL, XSLT, Java, Webservices, Python; integration technologies such as SAP XI/PI not required but good to have.
  • Knowledge of AI Tools and technology will be added advantage .
  • Is a team player.
  • Can work on multiple projects simultaneously, and willing to work in shifts.
  • Has a passport and is willing to travel for business purposes.
  • High level of English is required.
  • Willing to work in shifts.
