What We Are Looking For

• Deliver rigorous market research and analysis: Research and analyse evolving market dynamics across Construction, Oil & Gas, Power, Metals and Mining, supporting market sizing, forecasting, competitive intelligence, benchmarking, M&A support and due diligence. Mine company filings, investor presentations, industry statistics and government publications, and interpret macroeconomic trends.
• Build robust business and financial models: Develop forecast and financial models covering cost structures, margins, pricing dynamics and investment drivers. Clean, inspect and transform input data, and keep clear audit trails that explain every assumption.
• Conduct primary research: Design questionnaires aligned to project scope and conduct B2B interviews with industry participants, gathering real-time insight to GlobalData's highest ethical standards.
• Own your workstream: Drive individual analyses and workstreams end-to-end with oversight from Senior and Managing Consultants. Deliver on time, within scope and budget, give regular status updates, and flag risks or issues early.
• Turn analysis into recommendations: Produce high-quality, insight-driven reports and presentations with clear, actionable recommendations. State and defend the methodology, sources and assumptions, and explain implications to non-technical audiences.
• Drive efficiency with AI and automation: Use AI tools (such as Claude), advanced Excel and Power BI to speed up research, modelling and reporting, and help build reusable templates the wider team can adopt.
• Develop sector expertise: Build a thorough understanding of target sectors and their value chains, track industry developments, and contribute informed views to client discussions and proposals.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• MBA from a leading business school (e.g. IIMs, IIT management departments, MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR, XLRI, IMT or similar)
• 2-4 years of experience in consulting, market research and/or strategy analysis
• Experience in Construction, Energy or Mining is desirable; a strong interest in building industry knowledge is also welcome
• Strong secondary research skills, including hands-on use of recognised sources such as CIDC, Factiva and Bloomberg
• Strong analytical, quantitative and financial modelling skills, with high attention to detail
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; working knowledge of Power BI or similar tools
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a collaborative team
• Excellent written and verbal Business English, including structured report writing and clear presentation of insights
