The CSA is a customer-facing role, and you will own technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft for the most innovative analytics projects, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through platform thinking, architecture design across technologies, hands-on development of PoCs, implementation support, and solution optimization engagements. Responsibilities
Customer Centricity
- Understand customers’ enterprise data estate business and IT priorities and measures of success to design data & analytics solutions that drive business value.
- Be an integral part as technical expert in enterprise account teams and help orchestrate customer outcomes across roles. Act as technical project manager across technologies and projects where needed to benefit from synergies between customer teams, partners, and Microsoft teams.
- Strive for high customer satisfaction & become a trusted advisor for development teams, technical as well as business decision makers.
- Ensure that customer solutions exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, repeatability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment.
- Be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers and drive product improvements.
Business Impact
- Apply technical knowledge and architecture frameworks to design solutions that meet business and IT needs, create data & analytics roadmaps, drive hands-on POCs and MVPs, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key AI technologies where appropriate.
- Cloud and customer success business growth – Help customers get the best possible value from their cloud and customer success investments. Intentionally seek opportunities for clouds business expansion and help scope, and shape new customer success contracts.
- Resolution of customer blockers - identify resolutions to customer blockers by leveraging intellectual property (IP), Microsoft recommended practices, subject matter expertise, and your network.
Technical Leadership
- Accelerate customer outcomes – lead outcome-focused customer engagements and workshops, using and extending managed intellectual property (IP). Share expertise in technical communities and contribute to improvement of managed IP.
- Governance and change management – drive enterprise-grade platform architectures, help establish data governance processes and advise customers on change management and adoption.
- Learn it all mindset -Maintain and extend technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the data & analytics technical communities while educating and keeping customers up to date on Azure products.
- Customer/ partner and market insights – leverage market insights and aggregated customer experience to accelerate customer success and share feedback from customer engagements
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 10+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years experience building enterprise-grade, cloud-based analytical solutions leveraging evolving data architectures (data warehousing, data lakes, lake houses, streaming architectures and BI) as well as the underlying frameworks and data formats.
- Languages: Business fluency in English.
Additional/Preferred Qualifications
- Technical
- 7+ years experience building enterprise-grade, cloud-based analytical solutions leveraging evolving data architectures. Experience defining data governance strategies as well as supporting adoption and change of data cultures.
- 3+ years experience building enterprise-grade, cloud-based analytical solutions with Microsoft products (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Explorer, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Power BI). 1 year experience building Generative AI solutions. building production-grade, AI, and machine learning solutions (applied AI products and custom machine learning models) and knowledge to apply well-adopted machine learning and AI frameworks.
Breadth of technical experience in cloud solutions and knowledge in foundational security, infrastructure and network design, and foundational AI.Expertise in Oracle database products and migration as well as refactoring to Azure/AWS/GCP (native) solutions with PostgreSQL and Oracle IaaS.- OR deep domain expertise in operational databases and large-scale cloud migrations.
- Experience creating hands-on data & analytics Proof of Concepts (PoC), Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for customers that lead to production deployments.
- Competitive Landscape: Knowledge of key data & analytics platforms such as AWS, GCP, Snowflake, data bricks etc.
- Hands-on experience with software development and data operations practices and the most common tools.
- Business Value: The ability to convey the business need and value of proposed solutions, plans, and risks to stakeholders and decision makers. This includes the ability to persuade and inform based on facts and alignment with goals and strategy.
- Trusted Advisership: The ability to build trusted advisor status and deep relationships across stakeholders (e.g., technical decision makers, business decision makers) through an understanding of customer needs and technologies.
- Situational fluency: Using self-awareness as a mechanism to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to increase your ability to "read the room."
- Insightful listening: asking insightful questions to understand the customer needs, issues, business environment and drivers, and going beyond what customer has said.
- Languages: knowledge of either Polish, French, Arabic, or Hebrew is a plus.
