We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer

Department: - CTO Data Technology

In This Role, You Will

  • Responsible for performing system development work around ETL, which can include both the development of new function and facilities, and the on-going systems support of live systems.
  • Responsible for the documentation, coding, and maintenance of new and existing Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes within the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Investigate live systems faults, diagnose problems, and propose and provide solutions.
  • Work closely with various teams to design, build, test, deploy and maintain insightful MI reports.
  • Support System Acceptance Testing, System Integration and Regression Testing.
  • Identify any issues that may pose a risk to delivery, formulate preventive actions or corrective measures, and timely escalate major project risks & issues to service owner.
  • Execute test cases and log defects.
  • Should be proactive in understanding the existing system, identifying areas for improvement, and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while ensuring timely delivery of tasks.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Data Warehousing specialized in ETL.
  • Given the current team is highly technical in nature, the expectation is that the candidate has experience in technologies like DataStage, Teradata
  • Vantage, Unix Scripting and scheduling using Control-M and DevOps tools.
  • Candidate should possess good knowledge on SQL and demonstrate the ability to write efficient and optimized queries effectively.
  • Knowledge on GCP’s Data Storage and Processing services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Bigtable, Cloud spanner, Cloud SQL would be an added advantage.
  • Should have good communication and Analytical skills.
  • This individual should be able to develop and implement solutions on both on-prem and google cloud platform (GCP).
  • Should have proficiency in using JIRA and Confluence and experienced in working in projects that have followed Agile methodologies.
