About Anchora

AL is building an AI operating layer for complex physical industries. We are starting with mining and construction / real estate, where we have direct access to live operating environments, real enterprise data and projects on which to build and test.

Our first two products are MineOps, an operating intelligence platform for mining, and BuildIntel, an intelligence and control platform for construction and real estate.

A significant amount of the product architecture, domain intelligence, real-world data work and prototyping has already been done. We are now looking for the CTO who can turn this into a production-grade platform and build the engineering organisation around it.

The role

This is not a conventional managerial CTO position. We are looking for an exceptional hands-on 0-to-1 builder who wants to architect systems, write code, make foundational technical decisions and eventually build and lead a world-class engineering team.

You will work directly with the founders and own the technical evolution of Anchora across:

AI and agentic systems

• Data and knowledge infrastructure
• Enterprise integrations and workflows
• World models, entity / ontology and temporal systems
• Computer vision and spatial / 3D systems
• Security, evaluation and production reliability
  
  
  

You do not need to be an expert in mining or construction today. You need to be capable of going deep enough to become one where the technology demands it.

Who We''''re Looking For

You may be a founding engineer, technical founder, early-stage CTO, staff / principal engineer, or an exceptional engineer inside a leading technology company. We care more about what you have actually built than your current title.

You should have:

• Exceptional software engineering and systems fundamentals
• Strong experience building products from 0-to-1
• Hands-on experience with modern AI systems, LLMs, agents and production AI
• Strong backend, data and architecture capability
• The ability to move quickly without compromising engineering quality
• The judgment to know when AI is appropriate and when deterministic software is the better answer
• The ambition to recruit and lead an exceptional engineering team while remaining technically involved
  
  
  

Experience with industrial systems, computer vision, CAD / BIM, digital twins, knowledge graphs, enterprise software or spatial computing is a plus, not a requirement.
