Summary: As a Business Architect, you will engage in a dynamic environment where you will identify opportunities to deliver tangible business value. Your typical day will involve assessing the current state of business operations, capturing high-level requirements, and defining innovative business solutions. You will translate business needs into technology-enabled solutions and operating models, supporting transformation initiatives by developing comprehensive business cases and guiding the implementation of key projects. Your role will require collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment between business objectives and technological capabilities, ultimately driving efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: The Business Architect oversees and guides complex technical projects, fosters innovation, and ensures the successful delivery of high-quality software products. The role combines hands-on technical work, strategic planning, and team mentorship. Candidates are expected to lead and mentor engineering teams, set technical direction for greenfield SaaS products, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management and stakeholders. Roles and Responsibilities -Technical Leadership: Guide the engineering team on best practices, architecture, and technology choices. -Project Oversight: Ensure the successful delivery of projects from concept to production. -Mentorship: Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning. -Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. -Innovation and R&D: Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest technologies and trends. Technical Experience and Professional Attributes -Expertise in multiple programming languages, with a particular focus on .Net. -Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices. -Deep knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms, including Azure and Google Cloud. -Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining SaaS applications. -Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. -Knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data architecture. -Understanding of security best practices and frameworks. Leadership Skills Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams. Capacity to set technical direction and make high-stakes decisions. Experience acting as a product owner, driving the delivery of the product vision with engineering teams. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong analytical skills for addressing complex technical challenges. Ability to operate at varying levels of abstraction, from business and product strategy to technical design and implementation. Adaptability to complex and changing technical environments. Proven results in driving outcomes across cross-functional teams while maintaining effective working relationships. Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and facilitation skills. Results-oriented and customer-focused, with the ability to make trade-offs balancing short- and long-term product goals. High-energy, self-starter attitude with a positive and proactive approach. Educational Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in software development or engineering roles. Proven experience in leading complex, large-scale projects. Previous positions demonstrating technical leadership and architectural design skills.
