Business Analyst II ISFX

Description

We are looking for a customer-obsessed innovator, comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. They will have excellent oral and written communication skills, a focus to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize work. Business Analyst will own the production and delivery of a suite of reports, dashboards and tools used by leaders to take decisions that impact customer of selling partner experience.

Key job responsibilities

• Create, support and continuously improve reports and metrics that support the business operations
• Convert data into digestible business intelligence and actionable information using tools like QuickSight/Tableau
• Shape and deliver key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
• Dive deep into large data sets to answer specific business questions using Excel, SQL and other data manipulation languages
• Work directly with business teams to utilize metrics and analysis to determine improvement opportunities
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation to scale reporting solutions
• Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on best practices for data analysis and reporting
• Independently manage end-to-end project delivery with minimal supervision
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in writing complex, highly-optimized SQL queries across large datasets
• Knowledge of SQL/Python/R, scripting, MS Excel, table joins, and aggregate analytical functions
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
• Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Quick Sight, Tableau, Power BI or other BI packages
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or 4+ years of Amazon experience
• Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related field
• 4+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience
• Advanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to stakeholders and senior management
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or experience with AWS services including S3, Redshift, Sagemaker, EMR, Kinesis, Lambda, and EC2
• Experience using very large datasets
• Experience working as a BIE in a technology company
• Experience researching about machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, data science
• Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
• Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
