This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).
Role Purpose / Summary
We are seeking a Brand Associate to support the Branding & Advertising (B&A) function within our Global Marketing team. This role is pivotal in building measurable KPIs to increase brand equity across Lonza’s diverse modalities. As a global brand ambassador and guardian, you will ensure our brand identity is consistent, data-driven, and positioned as the pioneer leader in the CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) industry.
Key Accountabilities
Support the planning and execution of paid trade advertising including:
Source, organize, and maintain a central tracker / database to include key contacts, media kits, audience profiles, advertising formats, and pricing from trade publications we work with
Assist in the creation of internal paid trade media proposals for various campaigns/modalities, including format options, timings, and cost summaries.
Create and manage the approved paid trade media plans in Wrike, supporting accurate task setup/allocation, timelines, and status tracking.
Support the ongoing management of paid trade media activity, tracking bookings, deadlines, artwork submission dates, and live placements.
Collect, organize, and archive proof of placements ( e.g. screenshots, links, PDFs, metrics) for each campaign and placement plan.
Assist with benchmarking and market scanning, such as reviewing competitor's presence in trade publications and sharing observations.
Provide data for the paid trade media performance reports on a quarterly and end-of-year basis for sharing with Business Platforms.
Assist in analyzing campaign results and identifying basic trends, insights, and opportunities to support future media planning.
Support process improvement initiatives, such as improving templates, trackers, or ways of working for paid trade media planning and reporting.
Support the planning and execution of One Lonza flagship events including:
Manage end-to-end administrative workflows for major industry events (e.g., DCAT Week, DCAT Summit, CPHI Worldwide).
Manage calendar, coordinate team meetings across time zones, and assist in the development of event timelines.
Support the logistical framework for each individual event communications plan, ensuring all team members have the necessary documentation, access, and guidelines to perform their duties on-site.
Monitor and update shared event documentation, manage attendee lists, and facilitate the flow of information between internal stakeholders and event organizers.
Build, distribute, and manage BrandBrand ShareShare of Voice and Event Visibility and surveys at flagship and select tier 1 events including the preparation of comprehensive reports by individual event/conference in addition to maintaining an annual (FY) view of performance trends to support strategic planning for future events.
Project Management (including Wrike)
Project management set up and monitor campaign creation and launches, including approval of workflows.
Project management set up and monitoring of brand naming / trademark creation and launches including approval workflows .
Project management set up and monitoring industry awards including sourcing opportunities, award calendar, award submissions and reporting / evaluation and competitor benchmarks/analysis.
Manage the Global Marketing team preferred agency / supplier database

Critical Requirements

Project Management Excellence: Highly organized with a track record of "getting things done" and managing complex workflows through tools like Wrike.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative style, capable of building relationships with vendors and partners globally.
Execution Mindset: A results-driven approach with an agile mindset, able to manage change and see projects through to a successful conclusion.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous in tracking deadlines, artwork submissions, and proof of placements.
Desired Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a branding, advertising, or marketing operations role within an international organization.
Experience in trade media planning or managing large-scale industry events/conferences.
Familiarity with the CDMO or Life Sciences industry is a plus.
Proven ability to cultivate brand advocacy among employees, partners, and vendors.
