Role Summary

The Azure Enterprise Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise integrations on Microsoft Azure. The role supports multiple concurrent integration workstreams connecting D365 Finance and Operations, Power Platform, enterprise data platforms, internal applications, and external systems.
 

The engineer will develop APIs, Azure Functions, messaging components, event-driven services, data transformations, and secure enterprise connectivity using approved integration patterns and engineering standards. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot issues across applications, integrations, data, networking, security, and cloud infrastructure.
 

The engineer will work closely with architects, functional teams, application engineers, data engineers, DevOps engineers, and external system owners to deliver integrations that are scalable, secure, observable, resilient, and supportable in production.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and support Azure-based enterprise integrations.

  • Develop Azure Functions, APIs, messaging components, and integration services.

  • Implement solutions using Azure API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs, and Logic Apps.

  • Design synchronous, asynchronous, event-driven, and file-based integrations.

  • Implement data mapping, transformation, validation, retries, dead-letter handling, and idempotent processing.

  • Integrate D365 Finance and Operations, Power Platform, Dataverse, data platforms, and external systems.

  • Apply Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, Key Vault, OAuth, and least-privilege security.

  • Implement logging, monitoring, tracing, alerting, and operational support using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

  • Write automated tests and participate in pull requests, defect resolution, and production-readiness reviews.

  • Maintain technical documentation and support procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of software engineering or enterprise integration experience.

  • 2+ years of hands-on Azure development experience.

  • Strong C# and .NET skills.

  • Experience with Azure Functions, REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP.

  • Experience with Azure API Management and Azure messaging services.

  • Understanding of distributed systems, integration patterns, and event-driven architecture.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production support.

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with D365 Finance and Operations, Dataverse, or Power Platform.

  • Experience with Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or Storage Accounts.

  • Knowledge of clean architecture, SOLID principles, contract testing, and canonical data models.

  • Experience with private networking, private endpoints, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
