Azure Data Engineer

A leading IT services and cloud data engineering provider serving enterprise customers across finance, retail and technology. We design and operate scalable, secure data platforms and analytics pipelines on Microsoft Azure to enable reporting, ML/AI, and real-time decisioning. This is an on-site opportunity in India for an experienced Azure Data Engineer (Primary title: Azure Data Engineer).

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines on Azure using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks for batch and near-real-time workloads.
• Develop and optimise PySpark and SQL workloads for ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering; drive performance tuning for Synapse and Databricks clusters.
• Architect and maintain data models and lakehouse patterns on ADLS Gen2 and Delta Lake to support analytics and ML use cases.
• Integrate streaming sources and message systems into pipelines (Event Hubs / Kafka) and ensure low-latency, fault-tolerant ingestion.
• Implement CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code for data platform deployments using Azure DevOps and automated testing frameworks.
• Maintain data security, governance, lineage, monitoring and troubleshooting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and best-practice observability.
