The Opportunity

Providence India is aimed to digitally enable our vision of Health for a better world. We make use of multiple tech stacks spread across Microsoft, Oracle, JAVA, Python, and many new open sources. IS enables the organization to achieve its vision of health for a better world. This includes building, deploying, and managing the applications, tools and technology that supports the experience and productivity of 120,000 caregivers and, ultimately, the health outcomes for patients.

Clinical and Revenue cycle Applications pillar primarily focuses on providing excellence in the care of the applications and systems used in our communities, hospitals, and clinics. Driving digital transformation and improving the caregiver experiences through simplification and modernization of 1700 applications. We deliver products and services to support clinical and business applications and interfaces including Acute and Ambulatory, Home, and Community Services, Epic EHR and 3rd Party Applications as part of One EHR, ONE Engine implementation, application portfolio rationalization and cloud migration programs.

We are looking for an experienced leader in health care interoperability who can build the depth in the interoperability space

  • Understand the scale and bring in standards and best practices.
  • Organize the training and knowledge base.
  • Improve the FHIR capability and democratize the FHIR Services.
  • Execute use cases and bring in real time analytics with HL7.
  • Understand Clinical Engineering Data and Mappings
  • Improve architecture, design and bring in the Engineering Mindset.


Key Responsibilites

Strategic:

  • Develop a prioritized multi-year roadmap to build an integrated best-in class, automated, centralized, governed, and reliable, cloud first, enterprise data platform that delivers transformative solutions. Determine the investments necessary in terms of people and technology to achieve these objectives.
  • Having experience with innovative mindset in bringing automation in some of the routine Clinical operations focusing on driving higher productivity and efficiency
  • Align existing cross organizational teams and initiatives under an innovative, common vision; strategy; and approach for the Providence enterprise.
  • Define and implement policies, processes, and procedures for the governance and management of data.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external relevant partners to advance Providence capabilities and leadership position in healthcare and technology industries
  • Participate in Providence strategic planning and development in conjunction with other senior leaders.
  • Anticipate changing demands from the Providence organization and business environment and creatively realign data and analytics objectives as needed to align with organizational strategic objectives.


Leadership:

  • Attract, retain, and develop world class engineering having good experience in US Healthcare background predominantly in Provider space
  • Promote and foster an organizational culture that is innovative, agile, flexible, and aligned to the mission and values of the organization
  • Identify and execute high priority strategies to meet the data and information needs of Providence executives and managers
  • Ensure data quality and security across the enterprise including external data
  • Experience in People leadership handling large teams, complex transformation and successful in building and growing teams
  • Manage performance with respect to budget, objectives, and customer expectations as required to meet operational, quality, and mission goals.
  • Develop and provide guidance for negotiations with preferred information technology vendor contracts. Manage key vendor and partner relationships.


Health Care Domain & Interoperability:

  • Capability building for the Clinical & Revenue Cycle Applications – Interoperability Team
  • Building capabilities in InterSystems HealthShare, Rhapsody/Corepoint, GlobalScape, Azure & supporting technologies required for delivery and service engineering.
  • Manage the modernization of InterSystems HealthShare, HIE platform.
  • Ensure that the committed backlog is successfully completed in accordance with business priorities and KPIs.
  • Understanding of LOINC, CPT, SNOMED Codes and automations around the mappings.
  • Bring in best practices and frameworks in Intersystem technology stack - IRIS, Cache DB, Cache ObjectScript, HL7 messaging (v2.x), document standards (HL7 V3, CCD, CCDA, FHIR, IHE, HITSP32, XML/JSON, XSLT, SCHEMATRON). FHIR, Web Services, SOAP, REST APIs.
  • Support Technical Architects in the definition of integration solution and technology roadmaps and industry standards.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience, with 3-5 years of strategic management and Healthcare interoperability delivery experience.
  • Bachelor’s in engineering/ technology or higher with relevant industry experience with minimum 5-year experience in Corepoint, Intersystem Health-Connect (Ensemble), Intersystem Health Share or equivalent interface engine.
  • Experience working with multicultural and global teams in different time zones.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
