Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager, Total rewards will be responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of employee benefit programs, including health and wellness plans, retirement benefits, and other related services. This position will work closely with the HR team to ensure that benefit offerings are competitive, compliant with regulations, and aligned with the company’s overall Total Rewards strategy. The ideal candidate has 6 to 8 years of experience in employee benefits, with a focus on the IT industry, and is passionate about enhancing employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Benefit Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day administration of health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, disability, and other employee benefits, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Plan Design & Implementation: Assist in designing, developing, and implementing new benefit programs and enhancements, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s strategy and employee needs.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with benefit providers and vendors to negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure high-quality service delivery to employees.
- Compliance: Ensure benefit plans comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Employee Communication & Education: Develop and deliver communication strategies to effectively educate employees about benefit programs, open enrolment processes, and wellness initiatives.
- Wellness Programs: Develop and manage employee wellness initiatives to promote a healthy workforce and improve employee engagement and productivity.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze benefit trends, plan utilization, and costs. Provide regular reports to leadership and recommend changes to optimize benefit offerings and control expenses.
- Annual Open Enrolment: Manage the annual open enrolment process, ensuring smooth communication, system setup, and employee participation.
Education / Qualifications
Qualification
- Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification such as ‘Certified Employee Benefit Specialist’ is a plus.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and benefits administration systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
