About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient leader to lead enterprise-wide ServiceNow initiatives with a focus on solution design, architecture, and agile delivery. This role will be responsible for driving platform innovation, ensuring architectural integrity, and delivering scalable solutions aligned with business goals related to establishing ServiceNow practice.

As a Senior leader, you will be responsible for helping establish and grow our ServiceNow practice in India. This role will lead ERP modernization programs built on ServiceNow, often integrated with SAP and Oracle, while also driving the setup of a scalable, high-performing India-based delivery capability.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of project leadership, solution design expertise, and practice-building experience, with the ability to deliver value quickly to clients and to lay the foundation for a long-term, world-class ServiceNow team in India.

As part of our Rimini Consult group, the Architect, ServiceNow (Certified Technical Architect), is responsible for designing and building and enhancing core functions, workflows, and automations on the ServiceNow platform. This role emphasizes maximizing out-of-the-box (OOTB) capabilities and applying disciplined processes to develop customized solutions where necessary. Working closely with UI designers, Architects, and architects, the Architect ensures that back-end functionality supports seamless user experiences while aligning with business goals and best practices.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build and configuration of workflows, automations, and business rules using tools like Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
• Maximize the use of OOTB modules to meet requirements and only extend capabilities when absolutely necessary.
• Develop reusable components and configurations to ensure scalable and consistent solutions.
• Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external systems such as SAP, Oracle, and other ERP platforms.
• Use APIs and IntegrationHub to create seamless data exchanges across systems.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and consistency during migrations and integrations.
• Collaborate with UI/UX teams to align back-end workflows with front-end designs, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Work with architects and business analysts to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions that meet business objectives.
• Guide development teams on adhering to best practices and maximizing platform capabilities.
• Develop and execute test cases for workflows, automations, and integrations to ensure high-quality performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to maintain reliability and uptime.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain adherence to standards and best practices.
• Continuously review and optimize existing configurations, workflows, and scripts for better performance and maintainability.
• Implement disciplined processes for custom development to minimize complexity and enhance scalability.
• Stay current on ServiceNow updates, new features, and industry best practices to enhance solutions and recommend improvements.
• Document all development efforts, including designs, workflows, and troubleshooting steps, for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Verifiable ServiceNow CTA Certification is required.

Desired Experience

• 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.
• Proven expertise in workflow automation, integration design, and API development.
• Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing ServiceNow OOTB capabilities.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms like SAP and Oracle is a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrade planning and execution.
• Experience in App Engine Studio
  
  

Desired Skills

• Proficient in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and App Engine for ERP, ERP Canvas and AI Agent Studio.
• Advanced scripting skills in ServiceNow, including business rules, script includes, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
  
  

Experience with API development, REST, and SOAP integrations.

• Expertise in configuring OOTB functionalities and applying disciplined methodologies for custom development.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-grade development practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
  
  

Excellent teamwork skills to collaborate with designers, architects, and stakeholders.

Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
