Application Support Engineer

Database Administrator (DBA) – Application Support Engineer to manage database operations, provide application support, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of business applications and databases.

The candidate will be responsible for database monitoring, incident management, performance tuning, backup and recovery, application troubleshooting, and coordination with development, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Hands on experience in basic Unix commands

•            Hands on experience in simple SQL

•            Experience in incident management using any tool

•            Experience in Job and infrastructure monitoring

•            Any scheduler (TWS, Control-M & Autosys etc.) administration experience is a plus

•            Good written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

Work in rotating shift to support 24X7 operations

•            Provide monitoring (L1/L2) support for production and non-production environments

•            Monitor jobs and infrastructure alerts using various tools

•            Perform batch monitoring and configuration tasks using various schedulers

•            Perform initial triage for job failure and infrastructure alerts and follow SOPs

•            Perform scheduled and ad hoc activities on production and non-production environments

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering in IT, Computer Science, or any of its equivalents. BTech/BE preferred, MCA is acceptable

•            Have 2- 5 years of experience in Production Support
