Position: Advanced Embedded Engineer

Description

  • Able to understand the requirements and develop test strategies and understand test infra structure needs.
  • Create and review of detailed test plans to ensure coverage and quality.
  • Experienced with testing industrial automation products such as field devices, PLC’s.
  • Experienced with protocols like Modbus, EIP, Profinet etc.
  • Design / Implement test automation infrastructure using selenium, test complete or any equivalent.
  • Create test scripts that meet the team definition of done.
  • Run automated regressions, review failures, make adjustment to scripts as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain existing test fixtures. Includes debugging hardware and software.
  • Able to work in Firmware Verification, System / Product Verification or Solution Verification.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation ECE, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 8 to 10 Years of experience in Embedded product testing and validation.
  • 2-3 years’ Experience with Test automation and scripting.
  • Experience with software management tools (SVN, GIT, Bitbucket, etc.).
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Able to adapt and solve problems in an unstructured environment, with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred - Experience with Embedded Systems (testing or developing).
  • Preferred – Experience with MATLAB, NI Automation.
  • Preferred – Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (Jira, Rally, etc.).
