Workforce Planning Specialist
Location: Hyderabad
This is an office‑first role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and team alignment, enabling us to deliver our best work. You will work primarily in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely for 20% of your time (one day per week).

As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will manage workforce planning tools and processes, provide data‑driven insights, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and external partners to support Lonza’s workforce strategy. You will ensure accurate forecasting, maintain workforce data quality, and deliver recommendations that enable effective talent sourcing and global workforce planning.

What You Will Do
- Workday Adaptive Planning (AP):
- Regularly update and maintain Workday AP, ensuring accurate data input and system functionality.
- Develop dashboards and reports to support business needs and provide insights to stakeholders.
- Establish an 18‑month rolling FTE forecast as a standard practice.
- Use Workday AP as a bottom‑up tool for future budget cycles.
- Data Analysis:
- Cascade future hiring volume predictions to relevant teams (e.g., Randstad Source Right).
- Conduct quarterly reviews comparing predicted vs. realized hires; enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Collaborate with the EC Workforce deck to input workforce‑related data.
- Target Planning Support:
- Contribute to target planning exercises from an HR perspective, ensuring data quality and process improvements.
- Build strong relationships with global and local Finance teams.
- Market & Candidate Data Intelligence:
- Gather external market data to support new projects or M&A activities.
- Identify best‑fit locations for sourcing skills and job profiles aligned with company strategy.
- Research global talent sources and assess suitability.
- Analyze local labor markets, assess risks, and monitor competitors.
- Provide data‑driven recommendations for global footprint strategies.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Data Science, or related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in workforce planning and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Workday Adaptive Planning or similar workforce management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VBA coding.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
