Procurement Associate

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Associate to join our team in Hayward, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing procurement processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and negotiating contracts to ensure the organizations purchasing activities align with strategic goals. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to efficient resource management and drive cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and verify all product specs, ingredients, allergens, labels, and packaging from approved vendors

• Keep vendor documentation complete, current, and ready for nutrition review

• Update product records quickly when vendor information changes

• Enter purchase orders accurately and on schedule in the ERP/procurement system

• Support production and inventory planning with clean, timely data

• Flag and escalate order or delivery discrepancies

• Understand menu cycles, forecasts, and planning timelines

• Work with leadership to identify sourcing gaps, risks, and cost opportunities

• Track vendor reliability and item availability, escalating issues early

• Oversee third‑party storage and logistics to improve efficiency and control costs

• Monitor off‑site inventory to ensure FIFO use and reduce waste

• Coordinate deliveries with vendors and internal teams

• Perform other assigned responsibilities

• At least two years working in buying, sourcing, food operations, supply chain, or a similar function

• Highly detail‑oriented with strong planning and organization skills

• Comfortable juggling competing deadlines in a high‑volume, fast‑moving setting

• Clear and effective communicator across multiple teams and leadership levels

• Skilled in Excel and familiar with purchasing, inventory, or ERP systems
