YouTube Script Writer Healthcare

About The Role

We are looking for a YouTube Script Writer (Healthcare) who can create engaging, medically accurate, and audience-focused scripts for our healthcare and wellness YouTube channels.

The ideal candidate understands educational storytelling, audience retention, and patient communication, and can simplify complex medical topics into clear, engaging video content.

You will work closely with doctors, content strategists, and production teams to create scripts that educate, build trust, and improve viewer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Write high-quality YouTube scripts on:
• Medical conditions and treatments
• Procedures and recovery journeys
• Medicines, FAQs, and patient education topics
• Awareness and myth-busting content
• Translate medical concepts into simple, conversational language
• Write for:
• Long-form YouTube videos
• Shorts and short-form educational content
• Doctor-led and voiceover formats
• Create scripts with:
• Strong hooks
• Clear storytelling flow
• Viewer retention in mind
• Ethical and informative CTAs
• Ensure scripts are:
• Factually accurate
• Medically responsible
• Clear and engaging
• Edit and proofread scripts for:
• Structure and readability
• Grammar and tone
• Medical accuracy
• Collaborate with:
• Doctors and medical reviewers
• Content strategy team
• Editors and production teams
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in content or script writing
• Prior experience writing YouTube/video scripts
• Strong understanding of:
• Storytelling and audience retention
• Conversational writing
• Healthcare or educational content
• Excellent English writing and editing skills
• Strong research and fact-checking ability
• Ability to deliver consistent output in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with healthcare, wellness, or educational brands
• Understanding of YouTube audience behavior and watch-time
• Experience writing for doctor-led or informational channels
