We are seeking an experienced Zuora Revenue resource with strong expertise in Zuora Revenue (RevPro), Revenue Recognition, ASC 606 / IFRS 15 compliance, Data Engineering, and AI-enabled Finance Operations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of functional revenue accounting knowledge, advanced SQL and experience leveraging AI-driven solutions to improve revenue operations, reconciliations, financial controls, analytics, and close processes.

This role will support, enhance, and optimize Zuora Revenue while enabling scalable data platforms, intelligent automation, and AI-driven insights across the Quote-to-Cash and Revenue lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Zuora Revenue (RevPro)

• Configure and support Zuora Revenue (RevPro) implementations and enhancements.
• Analyze Revenue Contracts, Revenue Schedules, Performance Obligations (POBs), SSP Allocations, Contract Assets, and Contract Liabilities.
• Configure Revenue Rules, Waterfall Reports, Accounting Rules, and Transfer Accounting processes.
• Troubleshoot data collection, transaction processing, revenue recognition, and accounting transfer issues.
• Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement sustainable solutions.
• Support month-end and quarter-end revenue close activities.
• Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure ASC 606 and IFRS 15 compliance.
• Support revenue reconciliations between billing, revenue, subledger, and general ledger systems.

Data Engineering & Data Management

• Understand ETL/ELT processes for revenue-related data ingestion and transformation.
• Integrate data from:
  • Zuora Billing
  • Zuora Revenue
  • Salesforce / CPQ
  • Oracle ERP Cloud
  • Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
  • Reporting and Analytics Platforms
• Develop revenue data models, reconciliation frameworks, and financial reporting datasets.

AI & Intelligent Automation

• Partner with Data Engineering teams and assist to develop AI-enabled solutions.
• Support implementation of AI-powered dashboards and predictive analytics for Finance stakeholders.

Technical Development

• Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, procedures, views, and reports.
• Analyze large-scale financial and transactional datasets.
• Build automated reconciliation and exception reporting solutions.
• Develop APIs and integration processes between Zuora Revenue and enterprise applications.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architecture.
• Create reusable datasets and semantic models for Finance reporting and analytics.

Support & Enhancement

• Monitor Data Collection jobs, Accounting Transfer processes, Revenue Recognition batches, and integrations.
• Investigate production issues and perform impact assessments.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and hypercare support.
• Create technical specifications, process documentation, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Data Engineering, Business Systems, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Required Skills

Functional Knowledge

• 3+ years of hands-on Zuora Revenue (RevPro) experience.
• Strong understanding of:
  • ASC 606 / IFRS 15
  • Revenue Recognition
  • SSP Allocation
  • Performance Obligations (POB)
  • Revenue Contracts
  • Contract Assets and Contract Liabilities
  • Revenue Waterfall Reporting
  • Revenue Accounting
  • Journal Entry Generation
  • Revenue Close Process

Technical Skills

• Advanced SQL development and performance optimization.
• Experience with Oracle Database, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or similar platforms.
• Strong data engineering and ETL/ELT development experience.
• Experience building scalable data pipelines and integrations.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of APIs, file-based integrations, and middleware platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern analytics architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Zuora Billing experience.
• Salesforce CPQ and Quote-to-Cash process knowledge.
• Oracle Cloud ERP Financials experience.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Informatica, or other data integration platforms.
• Experience supporting global revenue operations.
• Exposure to Finance Data Lake or Enterprise Data Warehouse initiatives.
• Experience implementing AI solutions within Finance, Accounting, Revenue Operations, or Financial Systems.
• Knowledge of financial controls, audit processes, and SOX compliance.
