Specialist Account Executive - Slack

This is a true two-in-a-box role — no waiting in line, no reporting in. You bring deep Slack expertise; core Account Executives bring the relationship and account context where one already exists. Together you build the strategy, run the deal, and close it — neither of you is a passenger. And where there's no existing account at all, you're out hunting on your own, bringing brand-new customers into the Salesforce family through Slack.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Partnering with core Account Executives — co-owning strategy on shared accounts, each bringing what the other doesn't have.
• Hunting and closing net-new logos independently — prospecting, qualifying, and running full-cycle deals with companies that aren't Salesforce customers yet.
• Riding the momentum: Slack is the fastest-growing cloud at Salesforce, and you'll be finding and expanding whitespace across the entire existing customer base.
• Running full-cycle sales — discovery, demo, negotiate, close — whether it's a joint deal or one you originated yourself.
• Digging into real workflow problems — where information gets lost, where approvals stall, where teams drown in tools — and showing how Slack, including Slack AI and agents, fixes it.
• Knocking down the real barriers that stall adoption — champions leaving, security concerns, "we already pay for collaboration" objections — instead of just pitching past them.
• Trading knowledge both ways — sharpening core AEs on Slack qualification, while they open doors and share account history with you.
• Carrying and crushing your own number, on both new-logo and install-base motion.
  
  

• You've carried quota before, including new-business hunting, and you genuinely like chasing a number that's yours.
• You're endlessly curious about how the product work — not just "what's your budget."
• You build real two-way partnerships with core AEs — give and take, never just asking for access.
• You're just as fired up cold-opening a net-new account as joining a warm one.
• You love being the product expert in the room, even in front of technical buyers.
• You've got real stories of turning a skeptical, stalled customer into a raving champion.
