What You'll Do
As a Coupa Product Manager within BCG’s IT Systems Group, you will own the strategy and roadmap for Coupa, BCG’s global source-to-pay and procurement platform. Working closely with Product Owners, Engineering, and Data teams, you’ll act as the functional and technical bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams — driving requirements, design, and AI-enabled system solutions that align with business goals and compliance standards.
You will help translate business objectives into scalable, AI-augmented system solutions that support global sourcing, procurement, and invoicing processes.
You'll collaborate with Product teams, IT colleagues, and Procurement and Finance stakeholders globally to continuously improve Coupa’s ability to meet evolving business needs — including embedding AI and machine learning capabilities into everyday procurement workflows.
You will also own the strategic roadmap for Coupa, driving more effective sourcing, procurement, and invoicing outcomes while enhancing user satisfaction and unlocking AI-driven insights across the source-to-pay lifecycle.
Among Your Responsibilities, You Will
- Gather and document global and regional business requirements
- Support design workshops and process mapping sessions
- Translate functional requirements into detailed configuration specifications
- Support system integrations between Coupa, Workday, SAP S4HANA, and other enterprise platforms
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and SIT
- Validate data migration and perform reconciliation activities
- Assist in preparing deployment documentation and hypercare support
- Maintain comprehensive functional documentation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to deploy, monitor, and iterate on models in production, embedded within Coupa workflows (e.g., intelligent invoice matching, spend classification, anomaly detection)
- Evaluate and pilot emerging AI capabilities — including LLM-powered assistants and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) tools — to improve the procurement user experience
What You'll Bring
- 5–8 years in enterprise SaaS product management or business analyst roles, ideally within procurement, sourcing, or business systems
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Coupa (sourcing, procurement, invoicing, or analytics modules) in a product or support capacity is required
- Experience participating in at least one enterprise SaaS implementation is required, ideally with Coupa or another major procurement/finance platform
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong background in procurement operations, especially around sourcing, invoicing, or vendor/supplier management
- Proven experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into system specifications
- Skilled in creating functional documentation and understanding technical implications of proposed changes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess design changes from a system-wide perspective
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build partnerships with internal stakeholders
- Experience managing application configurations and executing thorough test plans
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analytics, and presentation
- Familiarity with data privacy and security practices, especially as they relate to procurement and financial data
- Experience in a global and agile working environment is preferred
- Knowledge of system integrations with HRIS platforms like Workday and ERP platforms like SAP S4HANA is a plus
- Practical understanding of LLM orchestration (e.g., LangChain), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector databases, and traditional predictive machine learning is a strong plus
