Senior Java Software Engineer - Cloud AWS

Responsibilities

• Build, design, and maintain scalable, high-performance web services in Java
• Work with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration of web services into web applications
• Create RESTful APIs that enable efficient client-side and server-side communication
• Maintain robustness, reliability, and security by following best practices and standards
• Improve performance and scalability through caching, load balancing, and database optimization
• Work with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Contribute to code reviews, give constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards
• Monitor Java and web services trends to apply relevant improvements
  
  

• Extensive IT experience of 5+ years, with 5+ years of strong proficiency in Java
• Strong understanding of web services development concepts, including RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building and deploying web services
• Demonstrated expertise applying security best practices with Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization
• Good knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures, along with Hibernate for ORM-based data access
• Proficiency with Linux commands for troubleshooting and automation
• Clear understanding of web security principles and best practices
• Experience with version control tools such as Git and ADO
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps (Sprint board, PR, Jenkins, Docker & Kubernetes, etc.)
• Capability to leverage Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of Angular
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
• Background in Agile development methodologies, with certification in Java programming or related technologies
