Job Overview:

The JDE Finance Functional Consultant provides functional leadership and hands-on support for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne financial processes. The role partners with Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, Project Controls and technical teams to sustain reliable transaction processing, period close, financial integrity and compliant change. The consultant combines strong accounting-process knowledge with expert JDE configuration and troubleshooting capability.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
 

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional support for JDE EnterpriseOne financial modules and related integrations.

• Support General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, cash or banking, allocations, multicurrency, tax and financial reporting processes based on assigned scope.

• Analyze posting, balancing, batch, voucher, invoice, receipt, payment and close issues; determine root cause and corrective action.

• Maintain and advise on financial configuration including companies, business units, object/subsidiary accounts, automatic accounting instructions, ledger types, document types, payment setup and period controls.

• Trace transactions from originating modules through account determination, batches and general ledger posting.

• Facilitate requirements workshops and develop functional designs, configuration workbooks, process flows, test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

• Partner with Supply Chain, Projects, Payroll, Tax and integration teams to manage cross-module accounting impacts.

• Coordinate with JDE development and CNC/technical teams on reports, interfaces, batch jobs, custom applications, orchestrations and performance issues.

• Plan and execute unit, integration, regression and user acceptance testing with complete evidence and reconciliation.

• Support month-end and year-end close, releases, patches, upgrades, cutovers and post-production stabilization.

• Assess application-control and segregation-of-duties impacts for finance changes; support audit evidence and remediation.

• Create and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, knowledge articles, runbooks and user guidance.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education: 

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.

• 8+ years of hands-on JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Finance functional experience.

• Deep experience in General Accounting plus at least two of the following: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Job Costing, cash/banking, multicurrency, tax or financial reporting.

• Strong understanding of accounting entries, subledger-to-ledger integration, reconciliations and period-end processing.

• Hands-on knowledge of JDE financial setup, processing options, versions, user-defined codes, automatic accounting instructions and batch posting.

• Ability to analyze JDE tables, reports, batches and integrations to resolve complex production issues.

• Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne 9.2 and modern UX or orchestration capabilities.

• Experience with requirements, functional specifications, testing, change management and support documentation.

• Exposure to banking interfaces, tax engines, consolidation, EPM and payroll integrations. 

• Experience in a global, multi-company and multicurrency environment.
