About The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Java Developer with 4–5 years of experience who combines solid engineering fundamentals with sharp problem-solving instincts. You'll design and build scalable backend systems, write clean and maintainable code, and work fluidly with modern AI-assisted development tools to ship quality software fast.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance backend applications in Java.
• Contribute to architecture decisions — service design, data modeling, API contracts, and scalability trade-offs.
• Design, build, and operate microservices, including inter-service communication, resilience, and deployment.
• Instrument services for observability — logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting — to ensure reliability in production.
• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code and participate in code reviews.
• Leverage AI-assisted / "vibe coding" tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to prototype and deliver features efficiently, while maintaining full ownership and understanding of the output.
• Debug complex issues across the stack and reason through ambiguous problems independently.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end features.
  
  

• 4–5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong grasp of core Java, OOP, collections, concurrency, and the JVM.
• Solid experience with Spring / Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
• Architecture: Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable systems; understanding of microservices, design patterns, and system design principles.
• Microservices: Hands-on experience building and running microservices — service decomposition, REST/gRPC communication, API gateways, and resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries).
• Observability: Practical experience with logging, metrics, and distributed tracing using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Jaeger, or similar.
• Coding: Clean-code discipline, strong testing habits (JUnit/Mockito), and Git-based workflows.
• Vibe coding: Comfortable and productive with AI-assisted coding tools; able to prompt, review, and refine AI-generated code rather than blindly accept it.
• Analytical ability (high IQ): Excellent logical reasoning and problem-solving skills; able to break down complex problems and learn new concepts quickly.
• Experience with SQL and at least one relational database.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
