Job Description

We are building resilient, scalable backend platforms and need a Lead Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot to drive design and delivery. You will shape Java 21 and microservices solutions across cloud and Kubernetes, uphold security and reliability, and guide the team through reviews and delivery—apply now.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
Architect and roll out microservices-based solutions deployed on cloud platforms
Build and expose RESTful APIs to connect backend services with frontend applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce scalable, maintainable solutions
Lead code reviews and mentor engineers with hands-on technical guidance
Drive architectural decisions to meet quality, security, reliability, and compliance standards
Apply Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
Manage CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous delivery workflows
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the full application stack
Work with containerization and orchestration tools to deploy and operate services

Requirements

Hands-on experience of 5+ years designing and developing with Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE
Expert-level knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit
Solid background working with relational databases including Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL
Proven track record with microservices architecture, Azure Cloud, and Serverless
Deep understanding of Kubernetes concepts such as pods, containers, services, and Istio
Practical experience using Docker and Redis in production environments
Strong skills in building RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with frontend
Working knowledge of Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and React (including Hooks)
Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with performance tuning and DevOps practices
Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI solutions using industry standards and patterns
